Ainsley Harriott: Angkor Wat, Cambodia

I’ve actually made a program for ZDF (Ancient Apocalypse) about Angkor Wat so knew all about the very sexy “destruction” of the '“lost civilisation” (NB Not lost nor destroyed. Filled up with silt and depopulated over time). But I’ve never been to Angkor Wat or Cambodia myself.

Ainsley Harriott is a dream guest, not just because he is a legend of online chefs and engaging presenter but because he talks with such enthusiasm about a place. He even waxed lyrical about the neatness of the supermarkets! Obviously the recent history of Cambodia is still being felt by the people there, and it is a chilling reminder of what humans are capable of.
