Craig Parkinson: Penang, Malaysia

It was a joy to hang out with a Dr Who villian. The Grand Serpent however turned out to be a very nice fella.

Craig Parkinson spent a lot of time in Penang Malaysia filming in very tight, warm edwardian costumes. However, despite the heat, and the falling snakes he fell totally in love with the place. And I get to say ‘funicular’ a lot, for there is a railway that goes up into the rainforest hills.

I have actually been to Penang but in the 1990s when I was even shorter than Shaun is, stood next to me and Craig.
