Siobhán McSweeney: Camino de Santiago, Spain

I have a genuine fascination with pilgrimage. A long walk to visit a Saint’s bones might not seem like the best idea for a holiday but it has been such a huge part of our culture since the dark ages. indeed the first female travel writer was Egeria… but to do one of these epic walks isn’t really about the spirituality anymore. It is about finding yourself treading the same path millions of others have trodden. And I can think of no one better than to go with Siobhán McSweeney who was so utterly wonderful on this episode I was sad when it ended.
