Miriam Margolyes: Tuscany, Italy

I’m honestly not sure what my poor producer Beth could leave in for this program… we talked for nearly two hours and, lets just say not much of it was suitable for Saturday morning listening. Miriam is such a hero. For me she is the missing member of Monty Python, a legend of comic acting. Of course she is now a legend for speaking her mind on talk shows in a way that makes me sympathise a lot with my lovely producer. She’s brillaint.

La Dolce Vita in a mediaeval hilltop village. Miriam thinks what more could you possibly want in life, but can she persuade Shaun? Her small village also engages in mediaeval jousting, the prospect of which causes him some alarm.
