CiVILSATIONS
I appear on the Japan episode of BBC Civilisations: Rise and Fall: Four mighty civilisations - Rome, Egypt, Japan's Samurai and the Aztecs. Their legends remain - now priceless artefacts reveal what led them to fall into the echoes of history.
It was really interesting trying to get all the complicated internal and geopolitics into such a short documentary, however I think we were successful. The real history is of course a lot more complicated, broadcasting requires a broadbrush.
I did get to show off about this at The British Museum too in what turned out to be quite a surreal launch night. Being treated like a grown up yet rewarded for my special interests feels topsy turvy.
